Jorge Badia – Executive Director of Operations
"FOI is the benchmark of success as an international air operations support team."
Jorge Badia’s professional career began at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1989. From childhood he knew that aviation was in his future, and going to the finest aviation school in the world was only his first step.
After graduating in 1993 from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, he immediately went to work for United Parcel Service as an entry-level package employee. He chose UPS for its reputation, for its large fleet of aircraft, and because of its huge expansion into overnight delivery service. After a few months work, Mr. Badia was propelled into the position of Air Operations Supervisor for Newark Liberty International Airport. This position title meant he would directly manage the second largest UPS air ramp on the east coast.

It was during this time that Jorge met with Manny Casalinho, the pioneer of Flight Ops International and another Embry-Riddle Alumni. FOI was then and still is a unique niche company providing the professional expertise in aviation in which international carriers and airport ground handlers prefer. Later that year, he went to work for Flight Ops International, and in his time there he rediscovered the fundamentals of passenger and cargo aircraft operations.
In December of 2001 Mr. Badia was appointed to manage JFK & EWR stations with the responsibility of promoting FOI’s mission statement: enhance the company’s skills and deliver expert information that is often absent in today’s professional travel arena.
He works closely with Flight Safety International and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University internship departments to provide the exchange of knowledge, which is critical in today’s growing aviation technological society.
